How do I switch companies or accounts in the mobile app?

Switch to another Clean Smarts company on mobile by logging out and signing in with the username and password for that company.

Use this article if you work for more than one company that uses Clean Smarts and need to open a different company account on the same phone.

Applies to: Mobile users who already have an active user account in each company. The app does not give regular users a visible account switcher while they are signed in.

Before You Switch

  • Make sure you know the Username and Password for the company you want to open. Each company controls its own user account.
  • Connect to the internet. Changing accounts requires a new login and cannot be completed offline.
  • Finish your current shift before switching when appropriate. Logging out does not clock you out.
  • If you have work that may not have uploaded, open MORE > Sync, tap Sync, and wait for it to finish before logging out.

Switch to Another Company

  1. Open MORE.
  2. Tap Logout.
  3. If the biometric sign-in screen appears, tap Show login fields. Biometric login may sign you back into the account whose credentials were saved previously.
  4. Enter the Username and Password for the company you want to open.
  5. Tap Log in.
  6. If the app says your username belongs to more than one company, follow the message and add the displayed hyphen and company ID to your username. For example, enter yourusername-123 when the message shows -123 for the company you need.
  7. Tap Log in again and wait for the company's data to sync.

Before starting work, confirm that the profile, locations, and schedule belong to the company you intended to open.

If each company gave you a different username, use that username instead of adding a company ID.

Manage Company Access

Switching accounts only opens a user that already exists. It does not add you to another company or copy your permissions, locations, schedule, or time records between companies.

An administrator for the destination company must create or activate your user in the web portal and give you the correct login. Administrators also use the web portal to change usernames, permissions, and location access.

Troubleshooting

  • The app signs me back into the previous company. Log out again, tap Show login fields, and enter the destination company's account-specific username instead of using biometric login.
  • I do not get a list of companies. The mobile app does not show a company list for regular users. If a username is active in multiple companies, the login message provides the company-specific suffixes to use.
  • My username or password is rejected. Ask an administrator at the destination company to verify that your user is active and confirm your exact username. Passwords can differ between company accounts.
  • An old employer's account is causing a conflict. Ask the former employer to deactivate that user if you no longer need it, or ask the current employer to assign you a unique username. For privacy, another company's account details may not be disclosed to you or your current employer.
  • I switched while still clocked in. Logging out does not end the shift. Sign back into the original company to check out, or ask your supervisor to correct the time record.
  • I see the wrong locations or schedule. Do not clock in until you confirm the account. Open MORE > My Profile to check the user, then use MORE > Sync. If the data is still wrong, ask the destination company's administrator to check your location access.
