How do I set up alerts for when an employee is late?

You can set up no-show alerts at the shift level to be notified when an employee hasn't clocked in by a certain time. Keep in mind that alerts need to be configured individually for each shift.

Set up a no-show alert

  1. Navigate to the location using the bottom-left menu > Manage Locations or Ctrl+K to search for it directly.

  2. Go to the Shifts and Inspections tab and click on the shift you want to set the alert for.

  3. Click the Assignments and Notifications section.

  4. Next to No-Show Alerts, click the Add button.

  5. Set how many minutes or hours after the shift start time you want the alert to trigger. For example, 15 minutes means that if an employee hasn't clocked in 15 minutes after the shift starts, both the employee and their supervisor will receive a notification.

  6. Click Update Shift to save.

A helpful use of this feature is for shifts with flexible arrival windows. For example, if a job can be done anytime between 5 p.m. and 10 p.m., you can set the alert to trigger 5 hours after the shift start time. That way you'll be notified at 10 p.m. if no one has shown up, allowing you to follow up proactively.
