How do I download the Clean Smarts mobile app?

Install the current Clean Smarts mobile app from the App Store or Google Play, identify the right listing, and get ready to sign in.

This article shows you where to get the current Clean Smarts app, how to avoid the legacy app, and what you need before signing in.

Applies to: Cleaners, supervisors, managers, and customers who use Clean Smarts on an iPhone, iPad, or Android device. Anyone can download the app, but your company must create your Clean Smarts user before you can sign in.

Before You Start

  • Connect your device to the internet and sign in to its App Store or Google Play account.
  • Use a compatible device. The current app requires iOS or iPadOS 15 or later or Android 8.0 or later.
  • Ask your supervisor or administrator for your Clean Smarts Username and Password. The app does not have a self-sign-up button.
  • Use the official links below. Do not install APK files or copies from third-party app stores.

Download the Current App

  1. Open cleansmarts.com/mobile-apps on the device where you want to use Clean Smarts.
  2. Tap the App Store button for an iPhone or iPad, or tap the Google Play button for Android.
  3. Confirm that the listing is named Clean Smarts and is published by Clean Smarts Co. The current icon is a blue C on a white background.
  4. Tap Get or Install.
  5. Open Clean Smarts.
  6. Enter the Username or phone-number login and Password provided by your company, then tap Log in.

You can also open the current store listings directly:

Choose Clean Smarts, Not Clean Smarts (Legacy)

Both stores may show two apps from Clean Smarts Co.:

  • Clean Smarts with the blue-and-white C icon is the current app. Install this one.
  • Clean Smarts (Legacy) is the older app. Do not choose it for a new installation, even if it appears in search results.

If both apps are already installed, open the current Clean Smarts app and make sure you can sign in before removing the legacy app.

What Your Company Must Set Up

Downloading the app is not restricted by a Clean Smarts role, permission, or subscription. What you see after login depends on how your company set up your user.

Before you start work, an administrator may need to:

  • Create or activate your user and send your login information.
  • Give you access to the modules and locations you need.
  • Assign your shifts, inspections, or work orders.
  • Enable mobile timekeeping if you need to clock in and out.

Keep the App Updated

  1. Open the App Store or Google Play.
  2. Find Clean Smarts and tap Update if that button appears.
  3. Reopen the app after the update finishes.
  4. If your schedule or settings still look out of date, sign in and go to MORE > Sync.

Troubleshooting

  • The store says the app is not compatible. Update your device's operating system. If it cannot run the supported version listed above, use a newer supported device.
  • Search shows Clean Smarts (Legacy). Use cleansmarts.com/mobile-apps or a direct store link from this article.
  • The in-app update button opens the wrong page or does nothing. Close the prompt and use the official download page or direct store link above.
  • The app opens to Log in instead of Sign up. This is expected. Ask your company administrator to create your user and send your login information.
  • You cannot sign in after installing. Confirm that you are using the Username or phone-number login and Password assigned by your company. See How do I log in to the Clean Smarts mobile app?.
  • You can sign in but a feature is missing. Reinstalling will not add access. Ask your administrator to review your modules, location access, and assignments, then use MORE > Sync.
  • The app asks for location, camera, photos, notifications, or motion access. These permissions support features such as timekeeping, messages, and media. The prompts you receive depend on the features you use and your company's settings.
