How do I assign a task to appear on a particular day of the week?

Yes, when editing a task, you can set it to be a weekly task that recurs on a specific day of the week. For example, you might want your cleaners to dust on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

  1. Go to Inspections and Tasks > Manage Checklists
  2. Select "Edit" from the drop-down next to the applicable checklist.

  3. Select "Edit" from the drop-down next to the applicable task.

  4. Set the frequency to "weekly," then check the boxes for the days of the week.

  5. Click "Submit".

Note: The checkbox labels say "1st day", "2nd day", etc. instead of "Sun", "Mon", etc. because the system adapts the task to whatever days of the week you clean a particular location.

Here's an example of how this works: Say you have a shift that is scheduled for Monday through Friday. You want the task "light duty dusting" to appear on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, so you would check "1st day", "3rd day", and "5th day" when editing the task.

Now, let's say you apply that checklist to a location that is cleaned Tuesday through Friday. For that location, "light duty dusting" would appear on Tuesday and Thursday, automatically adjusting to be the first and third occurrences of the shift (there is no fifth occurrence in the week if you clean Tuesday through Friday).
