How do I prevent users from ordering too many supplies?

You can set a max number for each location and supply item. The system prevents users from ordering supplies in excess of the max. The app will not allow users to request more than the difference between the max and the current level of inventory (plus quantities on order). When the user attempts to push the "+" button on the mobile app, he or she will see a pop-up that will say something similar:

You cannot order more than the max. Qty. on-hand: 6.0000, Qty. already requested: 1.0000, Max qty.: 8.000.

How to set the max level:

  1. Go to Admin > Manage Locations
  2. In the Actions column, find the drop down in the row corresponding to the location that you would like to set the maximum inventory levels for.
  3. Select "Manage Supplies" from the drop down.
  4. A list of supplies will appear in a pop up. For each supply, type in the maximum quantity in the the "Order-to Level" text box.
If the "Order-to" or maximum level is set to zero, then the system will not impose any limit to the quantity that can be ordered in a supply request.
