How Do I View and Close Issues?

View reported issues in the Clean Smarts web portal, filter them by location, close resolved issues, and reopen closed issues if more work is needed.

Use Issues when you need to review problems reported at your locations and keep your issue list up to date. You can view open issues, filter the list by location, close issues once they are resolved, and reopen a closed issue if more work is needed.

Before You Start

  • Closing an issue moves it from Open Issues to Closed Issues. It does not delete the issue.
  • If you are looking for a closed issue, check the date range at the top of the page after you switch to Closed Issues.
  • If you do not see the Issues page, ask an account administrator to review your role permissions.

View Open Issues

  1. In the left-hand menu, open Quality.
  2. Select Issues.
  3. Use the location dropdown to choose a specific location, or select All Locations to see issues across the company.
  4. Make sure the issue switch is set to Open Issues.
  5. Select an issue row to view its details.

The issue details show the issue status, location, description, notes, attachments, due date, who created it, and whether it is internal or customer-visible.

Close an Issue

Close an issue after the problem has been resolved and you no longer need it in the open issue list.

  1. From Quality > Issues, set the issue switch to Open Issues.
  2. Select the issue you want to close.
  3. Click Close Issue.
  4. In the confirmation dialog, click Mark as Closed.

After the issue is closed, Clean Smarts moves it to Closed Issues and shows a success message.

You can also close an issue from the issue list by opening the row's action menu and selecting Close Issue.

View Closed Issues

  1. From Quality > Issues, turn on the Closed Issues view.
  2. Choose the date range you want to review.
  3. Use the location dropdown to choose a specific location, or select All Locations.
  4. Select a closed issue to view its details.

Closed issues include the closed date, who closed the issue when that information is available, and the time it took to close.

Reopen a Closed Issue

Reopen an issue when it was closed by mistake or the problem needs more follow-up.

  1. From Quality > Issues, turn on the Closed Issues view.
  2. Select the issue you want to reopen.
  3. Click Reopen Issue.
  4. In the confirmation dialog, click Re-open.

Clean Smarts moves the issue back to Open Issues and shows a success message.

Tips and Troubleshooting

I do not see the issue I expected. Check the selected location first. If you are viewing Closed Issues, also check the date range.

I need to find a specific issue quickly. Use the search field on the issues page. You can search by issue details such as description, reporter, issue ID, work order ID, location, notes, or assigned user.

I closed the wrong issue. Switch to Closed Issues, open the issue, and click Reopen Issue.

I want to hide an issue from the list permanently. Clean Smarts keeps issue history for reporting. Close the issue when it is resolved instead of deleting it.
