How do I get notified when a cleaner does not show up?
A no-show notice is a push, email, or text—not a report in your portal. Customer logins do not receive it automatically; ask your cleaning company to tell you when someone misses a shift.
A no-show notice is a push, email, or text that Clean Smarts can send when a scheduled cleaner does not clock in. It is not a page you open in the customer portal, and it is not an item in the mobile Alerts list.
Applies to: Building-client customer users. Your cleaning company controls location access and the Notifications tab on your profile. You cannot turn no-show notices on yourself.
Before You Start
- Ask your cleaning company for a login and access to the buildings you should see.
- There is no No-show or No Shows report under Quality, Home, or MORE. Do not look for one.
- Your company must already schedule the visit and set a no-show alert on that shift. If they have not, nobody is notified.
What You Will Receive Today
In the current product, customer logins do not receive the automatic no-show push, email, or text.
Your cleaning company can still get that notice. Ask them to tell you when someone misses a shift at your building.
- Message your cleaning company in Clean Smarts and ask them to contact you when a cleaner does not show up.
- Web: Open Message Center, then the Customer tab.
- Phone: Tap MESSAGES, then Customers.
- If you do not have Message Center or MESSAGES, call or email the person at the cleaning company who manages your building.
- If you use the mobile app for other alerts, allow Clean Smarts notifications on the phone so messages and other notices can still arrive.
You will not see clock-in, schedules, or a staff no-show report. Those stay with the cleaning company.
What Your Cleaning Company Controls
The Customer role includes No-show Notices. That module does not add a menu item for you.
If you expected an automatic notice, your cleaning company would need all of the following. Even then, customer logins do not currently receive the notice.
- Access to the building
- No Shows checked on your user Notifications tab for Mobile Push, Email, and/or Text/SMS
- A no-show alert on the scheduled shift
You cannot open another user's Notifications tab. Only the cleaning company can change those checkboxes.
Save to Alert Inbox does not put no-show notices in the phone Alerts list. Late, no-show, and shift-reminder notices are not stored there.
If You Expected a Notice and Did Not Get One
- You opened Quality or MORE looking for a no-show report. There is not one for customer users. Ask your cleaning company.
- You opened HOME > Notifications and then Alerts. That list is for assignment, issue, and supply-request changes. A missing no-show is not diagnosed there.
- You do not see your building. Ask your cleaning company to add location access, then sign out and back in.
- You want a push on your phone. Allow Clean Smarts notifications in the phone settings. After an iOS or Android update, open the app while online, or log out and back in, so the phone can register again. Push permission does not create a no-show notice by itself.
- You get too many other emails or texts. Ask your cleaning company to narrow your location access or other notification settings. Do not look for a no-show setting on your own profile.
