How can I apply a special pay rate for certain shifts or jobs?
You can override an employee's default pay rate for a specific shift. This is useful when a particular shift or job pays differently from an employee's standard rate.
Apply a shift-level pay rate

Navigate to the location where you want to apply the special pay rate, using the bottom-left menu > Manage Locations, or the Ctrl+K search bar.

Go to the Shifts and Inspections tab and click on the shift you want to update.

Scroll down to the Budget section of the shift.

Enable the pay rate override toggle and enter the rate you want to apply.

Click Update Shift to save.
Once set, Clean Smarts will automatically apply the shift pay rate to anyone who clocks into that shift, instead of using their default pay rate from their employee profile.
