How do I automatically add adjustments to a shift?

You can add adjustments, such as automatic break deductions, maximum hours, minimum hours, or flat-rate time, to a shift from multiple places in the new web app. Below are the two main methods.

Add Adjustments from Admin > Manage Locations

  1. Go to Admin > Manage Locations.
  2. Select the location you want to edit.
  3. Under Shift & Inspections, select the shift you want to modify.
  4. Click Assignments & Notifications and then Adjustments.
  5. Click Add Adjustment and choose the adjustment type:
    • Lunch Break: automatically subtracts break time.
    • Set a Ceiling of Time Worked: caps the number of hours that can be logged.
    • Set a Minimum Amount of Time Worked: ensures a minimum number of hours (commonly used for flat-rate pay).
  6. Enter the duration (e.g., 1:00).
  7. Click Create Shift (or Save) to apply changes.

Setting Up a Flat-Rate Shift

If the adjustment is used for flat-rate pay:

  1. After adding the adjustment, go to Budget for the shift.
  2. Set the number of cleaners and confirm the Budget Labor Rate (e.g., $120).
  3. Enable Pay users at budget labor rate to override the user’s profile pay rate.
  4. The system will calculate pay using the adjustment hours you entered.
    • Example: If the adjustment is set to 2 hours, the pay is based on $120 × 2.

Add Adjustments from the Scheduling Calendar

  1. Go to Scheduling > Calendar.
  2. Select the location, then click the shift on the calendar.
  3. Open Assignments & Notifications.
  4. Click Adjustments and add one using the same steps as above.
  5. Save.
